The last part in a 5 Part exclusive
series that explains the major differences
between eBay and DubLi. This article talks
about two major differences between eBay
and DubLi: customer credits and DubLi Reward
Points. Firstly, DubLi is based on a credit
system. Customers purchase credit that in
turn allows them to purchase items from
the Shopping Mall or to make bids in their
reverse auctions. eBay does not go on a
credit system, but a purely cash to cash
system. Secondly, another major difference
between eBay and DubLi is the Rewards Program.
You’ve heard all about reward points
on your credit cards, Air Miles, free travel
points and cash credits, but did you know
that DubLi provides its own Reward Points
and Rewards Mall to redeem great cash cards?
These are two major differences between
eBay and DubLi that we will discuss in this
article.
The Differentiation
between eBay and DubLi – Credit Based
Shopping System
eBay is an open auction site for any seller
and any buyer to make transactions. It is
one of the largest e-commerce online auction
trading sites in the world and now has millions
of members. However, there difference between
eBay and DubLi, the next generation of online
shopping, is that DubLi relies on a credit
based shopping system. These proprietary
‘DubLi credits’ are purchased
by members (customers) who in turn, use
them towards the reverse auction and purchasing
products and items through the Shopping
Mall. The difference between eBay and DubLi
shopping is astounding, as the credit based
system allows DubLi to integrate their own
Rewards Mall. Each time a customer makes
a purchase, they receive DubLi Reward Points
that can be used to exchange for gift cash
cards or even cash out. This credit based
online shopping portal is a major difference
between eBay and DubLi, and to the customer,
it’s more reliable and better designed.
Also, what this credit based shopping system
does is that it gives the DubLi customer
more guarantees and more confidence knowing
that all products and items that are sold
through the credit system are new, unopened,
and guaranteed products with warrantees
and shipping. The difference between eBay
and DubLi is this so-called ‘guarantee’.
As the eBay scams became prevalent in their
auctions, eBay actually began cracking down
on sellers last June without making any
news releases to the public. What they did
wrong was firstly to allow for eBay scams
to take place and secondly, not to inform
all eBay sellers about the new policies
and rules that were imposed. Small sellers
in the bottom 2% of sales volume and amounts
were wiped out, while large sellers (some
of which are eBay scam artists) won. Phillip
Justus, Senior Vice President eBay Auctions
made a formal apology months later. So the
difference between eBay and DubLi is also
communication. DubLi communicates directly
with its customers, merchants and business
associates, whereas eBay tries to allow
direct seller to buyer communication, and
in many times, this doesn’t work and
becomes frustrating.

The DubLi Rewards Program
– Huge Differentiation to the Customer’s
Benefit
As mentioned before, a very big difference
between eBay and DubLi is the fact that
the latter provides a customer Rewards Program,
much like a Customer Appreciation point
system. Buy purchasing any retail item online
through respected and well established companies
such as Apple, DELL, JEEP, Starbucks, Aeropostale
and thousands more, DubLi customer earn
Reward Points. These DubLi Reward Points
is a major difference between eBay and DubLi
in that customers are rewarded each time
they make a purchase online. These customer
appreciation reward points can be used in
the DubLi Rewards Mall that includes awesome
Gift Cards, Cash Cards in addition to Prepaid
MasterCards through the BSP Load system.
The big difference between eBay and DubLi
is that the more you buy, the more points
you earn, and in the end, these Reward Points
are just like cash, giving you more discounts
and better deals on virtually any item you
wish to buy. Not only that, but another
big difference between eBay and DubLi is
that these Reward Points can be donated
to the DubLi Charity, a set of carefully
selected charities and non-profit organizations
for a great cause.
The differences between these two online
shopping giants are profound. There is no
doubt that this debate will remain for years
to come. The underlying issues include price,
security, rewards, and excitement and guess
what? DubLi comes out on top in every aspect
of the debate. However, we’re confident
that eBay and DubLi will duke it out for
years to come, and with a nine hundred per
cent growth in internet shopping over the
past 3 years, it is likely that both companies
will see significant growth in the near
future. With more customer research, better
products, great prices, both eBay and DubLi
will likely lead the age of consumerism
online. Click
